2) Research Methodology Workshops

activities of the Institute is running research methodology
workshops in different levels. Through these workshops, the
Institute hopes to have a role in improvement of knowledge of

Establishment of
performance-based
management in health and medical units
Management is an
art that needs knowledge and information. In the present world,
most of the decisions must be taken based on evidence, and
evidence consists of indicators that can be defined by studying
inputs, outputs, the process of the activities, and results and
outcomes of these activities. Health Researchers R&D Institute
is ready to do these activities and to establish the
performace-based management in health and medical centers. It’s
notable that the Institute has prior experiece in this regard in
the project on
"Establishment
of performance-based management program in the emergency room of
a non-educational hospital".

Designing databases
Our era is the
era of information, and information is achieved by collection
and classification of data. Computers and their capabilities, if
used correctly, can make it possible to gather and classify the
necessary information in the shortest period of time. Health
Researchers R&D Institute has conducted the great project on the
nation-wide database of medical articles (IranMedex)
and thus, has proved its capabilities in this regard, and now it
is ready to design any kind of database in various fields, from
the very first steps till the final step of uploading the
database on the internet.

Establishment of the peer review
system for research projects and
medical articles
One
of the main steps in research pragmatization is the corrrect
dissemination of the research results, which consolidates in their
publication in a scientific and research journal. In our country
about 70 journals have gained the scientific research certification
from the Deputy for Research and Technology in the Ministry of
Health and Medical Education; However, the low quality of the
published articles is the matter of concern. Several factors
contribute to the integration of the article, such as the proper
primary design of the article and the author’s ability to present
the results, also the capabilities of the peer review system of the
journal itself. In foreign journals, peer reviewers precisely find
the faults of the article, so that the author will be obliged to
correct his/her article in such a way that there remains no
methodological or grammatical mistake. This process (review and
correction) takes place in the shortest possible time period. The
peer review system should have the ability to recognize the proper
article and to guide the author in correctly editing his/her own
article. Unfortunately, these systems are not active in the journals
published in our country.
Health
Researchers R&D Institute in continuity with its goals for
dissemination of research, presents new services for the peer review
system of the scientific and research articles. We hope these
services can enhance the research capacity in the country.
